Following the N-1 exhibition presented in 2008, this second edition N-1.2 2010 will propose a new selection of research and experimentation projects in graphical, digital and sound design coming from higher schools of art and design in France and abroad. The theme chosen for this year echoes the general theme of the Biennial. It relates to experiments in perception alteration: what we might call, by reference to the psychologists "altered states of consciousness" (ASC), the "altered states of sensitivity" (ASS). In it we meet both the citation forms of "mental derangement" (hallucinatory and hypnotic phenomena, games on simultaneousness and ubiquity, difference and repetition, emptiness and saturation, etc.), and more contemporary and technologically propositions, relating to the new digital tools and new customs that profoundly alter our sensitive experience of the world (video games, simulation appliances, localisation media, mobile formats, new social networks, etc.)
